About the Breeder

Hobby Breeder, Vickie Scholten has been raising puppies for several years, starting off with the Jack Russell Terriers.  She has been breeding for conformation of the breed, agility and calm temperaments. Vickie began her career by adopting one Jack Russell named Roadie.  Wasn't long and she had several Jack Russell's.   Vickie's love for breeding healthy and happy puppies grew as she added Miniature Dachshunds and recently the Chihuahuas.  They are not a typical kennel, their dogs are their pets and live with them, yes in the house.   She has developed  experience with all three breeds and knows them well.  Vickie has a gift for connecting with her dogs and their puppies and for finding loving homes for them.  She enjoys the dogs and the puppies and gives them lots of daily attention.  They are part of the family.  The puppies and dam have their own nursery room in the home for safety and comfort.  When the puppies are about 4 weeks old they get to meet and mingle with the other dogs in the house, supervised of course!  This helps with the socialization and gets them familiar to living around our family.  At 6 weeks they begin potty training the puppies and teaching them how to use the doggy door.  You will find a puppy from her will be well loved and very affectionate.

They are located in beautiful East Texas outside of Dallas, Texas.  Vickie is a Rotarian and is an active member of her local community and is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce.  Volunteering when needed and helping out with several charitable events.  Vickie enjoys being with her dogs and their puppies, playing with them and just chilling out together.  On occasion they will have free puppies or dogs who need a loving home.  Read more about this below.

BUYERS BEWARE!

If the seller takes CASH ONLY!! Or if they would rather meet you somewhere other than at their home to view the available puppies or where the puppies are kept.  You should receive up to date shot records upon the purchase of your new puppy and given the next shot due date.  Puppies need to be given their shots 3 to 4 weeks apart until 12 to 14 weeks and an annual shot thereafter.  Also if current photos cannot be produced in a timely fashion, (when shopping internet) this may indicate that the puppies are not there at all or that they are not the actual breeder and could be working for a puppy mill.  If the puppy price is too good to be true, it may be, proceed with caution.  Puppy Mill breeders are known for selling at lower than usual prices to move the so called inventory.  Your puppy may not be healthy if coming from a Puppy Mill.

Free Puppies

REASONS WHY WE HAVE FREE PUPPIES & PETS

1. We have drawings for Free Puppies thru out the year when we have puppies that are available after 14 weeks of age.

2. Occasionally we will have a Puppy or a dog given back to us because of the person moving and cannot take the puppy or dog with them and they want to make sure the puppy/dog gets a good home.

3. Someone will contact us and need to find an immediate home for their Jack Russell, Mini Doxie, or Chihuahua
Because they are being called to active Military Duty, Family emergencies that require more of their time for care giving.....
These customers prefer to meet the person that will take their pet rather than give it up at an adoption center that may put the pet to sleep if they don't find a home for it.

TO BE ON THE LIST:

1.  Contact us and let us know you would be willing to provide a home and be on a waiting list.

2.  We cannot promise a free puppy or dog at any certain time and when one does become available we will contact you by drawing your name out of the pool of adoptive prospects.

3.  The only cost to you would be the shipping if you are not local to pick up the puppy or dog.

IF I HAD NO DOGS AND PUPPIES.......

I could walk around the yard barefoot in safety.  My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated.  All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars would be free of hair.  When the doorbell rings, it would not sound like the kennels.  When the doorbell rings, I could get to the door without wading through fuzzy bodies who beat me there.

I could sit on the couch the way I wanted, without taking into consideration how much space several fur bodies would need to be comfortable.  I would not have strange presents under Christmas tree -- dog bones, stuffed animals, nor would I have to answer to people why I wrap them.  I would not be on a first-name basis with three veterinarians.  The most used words in my vocabulary would not be: out, sit, down, come, no, stay, and leave him/her   ALONE.

My house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates or barriers.  My pockets would not contain things like poop bags, treats and an extra leash.  I would no longer have to spell the words B-A-L-L, F-R-I-S-B-E-E, R-I-D-E, OR W-A-L-K.

I would not have as many leaves INSIDE my house as outside.  I would not look strangely at people who think having ONE dog ties them down TOO much.  I'd look forward to spring and the melting of snow instead of dreading mud season.  I would not have to answer the question "Why do you have so many dogs?" from people who will never have the joy in their lives of knowing they are loved unconditionally by something as close to an angel as they will ever get.  HOW EMPTY MY LIFE WOULD BE.
